Employment Preparation Activity (EPA) and the New Employment Services Model

Government employment services are being transformed to deliver better services to participants and employers.  What will the new model mean for participants?

The new model will provide service options for participants to support them to find a job, a better digital platform and more flexibility to meet mutual obligation requirements.

One of the mutual obligation options is TURSA’ Work Fit & Ready program.

Work Fit & Ready has been designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to ramp up your employability advantage.  We’ll work with you to ensure you are Work Fit & Ready to apply for that job, nail the interview, land the job and keep it.  Flexibly designed for when ‘life happens’, our program is delivered regularly in a relaxed and supportive environment.

TURSA has trained and experienced, full-time staff, including specialist Trainers, with comprehensive backgrounds in servicing our participants.  With extensive local knowledge of the available services, programs and labour markets we are able to provide you with the most current employment and training opportunities available.

Our Program delivers results FOR YOU:

Designed around the Core Skills for Work framework identified by employers and industry as necessary requirements for successful participation in the workforce, the program includes:

With these skills in mind, training has been designed to include jobsearch and interview skills, understanding the labour market, learning from unsuccessful job applications, job lead generation and employability skills.  We have also included important life skills like being money smart, maintaining a work/life balance, and tips to help you keep that job.

Training is conducted face-to-face, four days a week for two weeks, we have even included time for you to put your new skills into practice with the support of our experienced trainers. If you have casual work or parenting responsibilities, we can work with you to ensure you do not miss out, including school hour delivery.

TURSA has modern, centrally located sites in Bellingen, Woolgoolga, Nambucca, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Taree, Forster and Kempsey.  Our state of the art facilities include computers, wifi, photocopiers, access to video conferencing for interviews as well as comfortable breakout facilities.
