It connects participants with employers and is delivered by a network of jobactive providers in over 1,700 locations across Australia. The jobactive website is delivered by Australian JobSearch — a free online jobs website.

National Careers Institute
We provide expert advice and national leadership on Australia’s labour market and current, emerging and future workforce skills needs. We also have an important role in simplifying and strengthening Australia’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) system.

myfuture is Australia’s national online career information and exploration service that helps you make career decisions, plan career pathways and manage work transitions.

Job Jumpstart is owned and operated by the Australian Government’s Department of Employment and is a single spot for young people seeking employment planning and job search information. The website brings together a range of relevant government information as well as recruitment insights from Australian employers to help young people better understand their employment goals and how to achieve them.

Disability Resources

Disability Employment Services (DES)
Disability Employment Services (DES) helps people with disability find work and keep a job. Disability Management Service is for participants with disability, injury or health condition who need assistance to find a job and occasional support to keep a job. Employment Support Service provides assistance to people with permanent disability and who need regular, ongoing support to keep a job.

Disability Gateway
Australians living with disability, their families and carers identified accessing information about policies, programs and support as a key barrier to their independence and community participation.
The Department of Social Services (DSS) has developed a way to improve access to this information by creating the Disability Gateway.
The Disability Gateway includes a website, a dedicated phone line (1800 643 787) and social media channels, to assist people with disability, their families and carers, to find and access trusted information and services.
The Disability Gateway is for all Australians with disability, regardless of whether they are a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participant or not.

Disability Employment Australia
Disability Employment Australia is the peak industry body for Australia’s Disability Employment Services (DES). DES is recognised internationally as the preeminent organisation representing, supporting and resourcing the disability employment sector throughout Australia. Disability Employment Australia supports the Australian Government to deliver high quality employment support to people with disability in Australia.

JobAccess
JobAccess is the national hub for all things disability employment. JobAccess is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services. JobAccess provides information on, for example: financial support, workplace modifications, help with finding and changing jobs, creating flexible work environments, links to career advice and training courses, connecting with employers, providers and peak bodies and a range of other tools and resources for people with disability, employers and service providers.

Deaf Connect
Deaf Connect is the largest whole-of-life service provider for Deaf, Deafblind and hard of hearing Australians, with offices across Queensland and NSW, as well in Adelaide, Melbourne and Darwin.
We stand with the Deaf community to build capacity and influence social change while paying respect to history, culture and language.

The National Relay Service (NRS)
The National Relay Service (NRS) is a free-of-charge Australia-wide phone access service providing phone solutions for people who are deaf or have a hearing or speech impairment. It is also available to anyone who wants to call a person with a hearing or speech impairment.

Disability Advocacy Finder
The Disability Advocacy Finder is a tool made available by the Department of Social Services (DSS) for the purposes of listing the contact details and locations of disability advocacy agencies. Organisations included on the Disability Advocacy Finder are ones that receive funding from the Commonwealth or a state or territory government to provide advocacy under individual or systemic models of advocacy.

ASIC’s First Business App for Young Entrepreneurs
Thinking about going into business for yourself? Getting into small business can be exciting, but there can be a lot of steps involved. ASIC’s First Business app helps you work towards starting your own business. The mobile app provides practical tips, checklists, case studies and links to additional information relating to developing and running a small business.

NSW Industrial Relations (NSW IR)
NSW Industrial Relations (NSW IR) primary responsibilities are to monitor wages, employment rights, obligations and employment conditions in NSW. It is an agency working with employees, employers and their representatives to facilitate equitable, innovative and productive workplace relations.

Centrelink
The Centrelink Master Programme, or more commonly Centrelink, is a master programme of the Australian Government that is managed under the authority of the Department of Human Services. Centrelink delivers a range of government payments and services for retirees, the unemployed, families, carers, parents, people with disabilities, Indigenous Australians, and people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and provides services at times of major change.

While many businesses have been adversely affected by COVID-19 and are reducing their workforces, there are some areas of the economy which have an increased demand for workers. MensLine Australia
MensLine Australia is the national telephone and online support, information and referral service for men with family and relationship concerns. The service is available 24/7 from anywhere in Australia and is staffed by professional counsellors, experienced in men’s issues.

Lifeline
Lifeline is a national charity providing all Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.

Group Training Australia Limited (GTA)

The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training
The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training is committed to ensuring Queenslanders have the education and skills they need to contribute to the economic and social development of Queensland. Trainandemploy.qld.gov.au provides information in regards to education and training services in Queensland for people at every stage of their personal and professional development.

Training.gov.au
Training.gov.au is the National Register on Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia. Training.gov.au is the authoritative source of Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) (which consists of training packages, qualifications, units of competency, accredited courses and skill sets) and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) who have the approved scope to deliver Nationally Recognised Training, as required by national and jurisdictional legislation within Australia.

My Skills website is the national directory of vocational education and training (VET) organisations and courses. It is an Australian Government initiative to enable consumers to search for, and compare, VET courses and training providers.
Employment Resources

Fair Work
The Fair Work Ombudsman enforce compliance with the Fair Work Act, related legislation, awards and registered agreements. They also help employers and employees by providing advice and education on pay rates and workplace conditions.

Human Rights Commission
The Human Rights Commission leads the promotion and protection of human rights in Australia, overseeing the application of federal legislation in the area of human rights, anti-discrimination, social justice and privacy.
