Tursa Employment & Training is a large not-for-profit, independent organisation that has a proud 26 year history of providing employment and training services to unemployed jobseekers across 58 sites from Noosaville, Sunshine Coast, QLD to Forster, Mid North Coast, NSW.
TURSA currently has multiple Employment Adviser positions available on the Gold Coast, QLD due to our major 12 million dollar digital transformation investment and increased services to participants.
Employment Advisers provide support to eligible, unemployed participants, enabling them to access appropriate services and training to achieve long term sustainable employment outcomes. The successful applicant will have exceptional people skills i.e. the ability and disposition to engage positively and empathetically with participants, to work with and support them to move into employment or self-employment.
Delivery of Employment Services is a highly competitive industry that is also highly regulated. Continuation of our contracts and the level of business the Government allocates to TURSA depends upon being ranked highly on comparative performance with other providers not only in the immediate area but more so against other providers across the rest of Australia.
Employment Advisers will be required to undertake the Certificate IV in Employment Services training course on-the-job unless they already hold that qualification. They must also have a proven track record combined with the self-belief and inclination to compete and succeed. Staff will need to be flexible and have the ability to adapt as the industry is subject to frequent change and development. Although previous industry experience is desirable it is not essential.

|POSITION:||Grading as follows based on experience and skills:
Trainee Employment Adviser (opportunities may exist for inexperienced persons who have the interest and enthusiasm to seek a career in the industry.)
Employment Adviser- Grade 1
Employment Adviser- Grade 2
Progression by re-classification to Senior Employment Adviser on merit or the allocation of additional duties at the discretion of management
|SCOPE:||Employment Adviser is a generic classification which covers work duties such as:
Employment Adviser duties shall include the range of duties required to deliver jobactive services prescribed under contract to the Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE).
An incumbent may be required to discharge all of the duties or some of the duties in such combination as specified as is necessary to deliver contracted services and taking into consideration the abilities and skills of the worker, and the needs of the site and participants.
