Expression of Interest – Employment Advisers – Mid North Coast Region
Tursa Employment & Training is a not-for-profit provider of Employment and Training Services. TURSA is highly ranked in a competitive industry, providing services to businesses and unemployed persons in the eastern seaboard region from Forster on the Mid-North Coast of NSW to Noosaville on the QLD Sunshine Coast.
Due to expanding services within the Mid North Coast Region, TURSA is inviting expressions of interest from suitably experienced and qualified individuals to provide services and support to eligible participants to enable those participants to access appropriate, relevant training to achieve employment outcomes under the Australian Government’s New Employment Services Trial (NEST) and/or Disability Employment Services programmes.
Applicants with previous industry experience in jobactive, Disability Employment Services, or training are encouraged to apply. The successful applicants will also have excellent people skills i.e. the ability, disposition and commitment to engage positively and empathetically with clients, to work with and support them to move into employment or self-employment. The role provides opportunity to use your skills, knowledge, and energy to build strong working relationships with participants and assist them in seeking gainful employment. You may engage and negotiate with employers as required on the participant’s behalf.
Employment Advisers will be required to undertake the Certificate IV in Employment Services training course on-the-job, unless they already hold that qualification. Certificate IV in Employment Services is a nationally accredited and recognised qualification in the industry and will be delivered at no cost to the employee.
Employment Advisers are required for the Mid North Coast Region, for sites from Coffs Harbour to Forster, NSW.

|POSITION:||Grading as follows based on experience and skills: Trainee Employment Adviser (opportunities may exist for inexperienced persons who have the interest and enthusiasm to seek a career in the industry.) Employment Adviser- Grade 1 Employment Adviser- Grade 2 Progression by re-classification to Senior Employment Adviser on merit or the allocation of additional duties at the discretion of management|

|Classification & Salaries:||Training & Placement Officer Grade 1 & 2 LMAI Award shall apply for Employment Adviser Grade 1 and Employment Adviser Grade 2, respectively Senior Employment Adviser will be substantively Training and Placement Officer Grade 2 (LMAI Award) plus additional discretionary increments up to a maximum salary equivalent to Level D, Training & Placement Co-ordinator (LMAI Award)|
