How Our Fortitude Valley Team Work With You
Our Fortitude Valley Disability Employment Services team work closely with participants, employing a personalised, participant-centred model. This approach is based on the belief that everyone’s journey to employment is unique and thus requires tailored solutions.
We Get to Know and Understand DES Participants
From the outset, TURSA’s experienced and qualified Disability Employment Advocates will engage in a comprehensive consultation process with the participant. During this consultation, they will focus on understanding the participant’s strengths, abilities, current skillset, potential skills, and employment goals. And then from this, the basis of the individualised job plan and service delivery will be crafted for each participant.
We Mainintain Open Two-Way Communication
Communication between our Fortitude Valley DES team and participants is open. We believe in ongoing communication, respect, and empathy. Every step of the way, participants are consulted and involved in decisions about their employment plan. And as participants evolve, so too will our disability employment services. This means we’re continuously meeting the needs of every participant’s goals.
We Help Provide Opportunities Based on Your Potential
We’ll focus on strengths and abilities as the heart of our approach as well as potential. This will help us provide the right, individualised support, from job-readiness training, resume preparation, to liaising with potential employers. And once placed, we can continue providing on-the-job support for up to 52 weeks after starting work.
TURSA works alongside participants, providing the necessary guidance, resources, and support to help them achieve their employment goals. The participant’s journey is marked by dignity, respect, and mutual cooperation, reflecting TURSA’s commitment to empowering participants to succeed.
