TURSA delivers the Workforce Australia – Transition to Work program in the Brisbane South East region with offices in Woodridge, Beenleigh, and Capalaba and is specifically designed for young people aged between 15 and 24. TURSA aims to deliver high-quality services to local employers to ensure young people meet their needs, have the skills required, and, are supported to settle into their new job.

Transition Your Business

The Workforce Australia – Transition to Work (TtW) program supports young people to meet the needs of local employers. There are many benefits to employing young people, and we can support you by:

  • Providing pre-employment skills training to our TtW participants that meet your specific needs.
  • Guidance on establishing work experience placements to see if the TtW participant is suitable for the job.
  • Facilitating Youth Bonus wage subsidies of up to $10,000 (GST inclusive) if you offer ongoing employment to a TtW participant.
  • Providing post-placement support and training to support a long-term sustainable job placement.

Our goal is to ensure positive and sustainable outcomes. Our priority is to ensure integrity and respect for both participants and employers.

Therefore, we will provide you with a dedicated Youth Adviser who will be your key contact. This connection will ensure simplicity in the recruitment process and an easy flow of communication.

We will focus on understanding your business and workforce requirements. We will assist with wage subsidies and on-site post-placement support.

Transition Your Recruitment Process

TURSA has been connecting employers with our participants since 1995. We have both extensive experience and a passion for local business and community support. We are a free service for both employers and potential employees. Our commitment is to ensure businesses get the assistance and wage subsidies available and quality staff. We want a Win-Win.

We acknowledge that young people require specific skills and training to succeed in the workplace, and our focus is on aligning their capability and goals with your business requirements.

  1. List your vacancy on our Jobs Board.
  2. Our staff will review your listing and contact you to ensure we fully understand the requirements and your expectations as an employer.
  3. We make your listing live, ensuring the job description aligns with our discussions.
  4. We promote the vacancy on our website, across social media, to our strategic partners and local site offices.
  5. We review the applications carefully against your requirements.
  6. We shortlist suitable applicants.
  7. We make interview rooms available if required.
  8. We assess potential applicants for any skills gaps and provide additional training and job readiness support either before commencement or on the job.
  9. We review wage subsidies available and manage them to ensure your employment outlay is minimised.
  10. We ensure workplace modifications are arranged and funded where applicable.
  11. We provide post-placement support to both you and the participant for at least 26 weeks while they settle into the role to support long-term success.
  12. If the match is not ideal, we will engage a replacement applicant for you.

PaTH

Youth Jobs PaTH is an Australian Government service that helps young people gain the skills and work experience needed to get and keep a job. It also supports businesses to trial young people in the workplace and offers a financial incentive when they hire.

EST

Employability Skills Training (EST) gives young people the opportunity to enhance their employability through targeted training.

Internships

Offering practical work-related experience to help build young people's confidence inline with their career interests.

Traineeships & Apprenticeships

An opportunity for a participant to be trained on the job while in your employment.
