How Our Gatton Team Works With You
Our Gatton Disability Employment Services team works closely with participants, using a personalised, participant-centred model. This approach is based on the understanding that every journey to employment is unique, requiring personalised services.
We Get to Know and Understand DES Participants
From the beginning, our experienced and qualified Disability Employment Advocates conduct a consultation with participants. During this process, we focus on understanding the participant’s strengths, abilities, current skill set, potential skills, and employment goals. Based on this information, we create an individualised job plan and delivery approach unique to each participant.
We Maintain Open Two-Way Communication
Communication between our Gatton DES team and participants is open. We believe in ongoing communication, respect, and empathy. Participants are regularly consulted and always involved in decisions about their employment plans. As participants grow, our disability employment services evolve to continuously meet their goals.
We Help Provide Opportunities Based on Your Potential
We focus on strengths and abilities, as well as potential. This allows us to provide suitable, individualised support, from job-readiness training and resume preparation to liaising with potential employers. Once participants are placed, we continue providing on-the-job support for up to 52 weeks after employment.
Working closely with participants, we offer the necessary guidance, resources, and support to help them achieve their employment goals. Each participant’s journey is characterised by dignity, respect, and mutual cooperation, reflecting TURSA’s commitment to empowering participants to succeed.
