TURSA has worked collaboratively with Indigenous-owned and operated business Geared up Culcha for the past 6 years. Geared up Culcha specialises in customised industry work wear, signage and promotional products.

When Eddy transferred across to TURSA from another jobactive provider it was arranged for him to meet Geared up Culcha with a view to achieve ongoing employment: the rest is history. Eddy was offered a position and after only 3 months he moved into a supervisory role.

Geared up Culcha’s co founder Paul Dodd said: “We have had 12 Indigenous interns over the past six years” and added: “I see our business as a vehicle to bring on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and to give them an opportunity to fulfil their full potential”.

Eddy was looking for a role in warehousing. When asked how he felt after TURSA had helped him get his start with Geared up Culcha he said: “I was stoked, it makes me proud because I know I am giving back to the community”.
