Financial Assistance
- Emergency Hardship Assistance Grants: Up to $900 for families to cover essentials like food, clothing, and medicine
- Essential Household Contents Grants: Up to $5,300 for families to replace destroyed household items
- Structural Assistance Grants: Up to $80,000 for uninsured low-income earners to repair disaster-damaged dwellings
- Disaster Recovery Allowance: Up to 13 weeks of income support for eligible workers and sole traders who have lost income due to the disaster
Community Recovery
- Local Councils: Access funds for counter disaster operations and the reconstruction of essential public assets
- Community Relief Fund: A $15 million fund for clean-up and early recovery activities
