Victory House: How TURSA’s Community Grant Program Is Supporting

With support from the TURSA Community Grant Program, Victory House was able to purchase a tractor that has become an essential part of both the property’s operations and participant training. The equipment enables hands-on learning opportunities while helping maintain the farm safely and efficiently. Participants gain practical experience operating machinery, managing land, and developing workplace skills that can lead directly to local employment opportunities, traineeships, and apprenticeships.

The project reflects TURSA’s belief that strong communities create stronger employment outcomes. By investing in local organisations that provide support, training, and opportunity, TURSA helps address barriers that can prevent people from entering or re-entering the workforce. 

As part of its 30-year milestone, TURSA Employment & Training launched a $1 million Community Grant Program to support not-for-profit organisations delivering meaningful social and economic outcomes across the regions it serves. Grants of up to $30,000, and in some cases more, were provided to organisations creating positive change, strengthening community connections, and helping people build pathways towards employment and independence.
