Transition to Work FAQs

Transition to Work is a Workforce Australia employment service for young people aged 15 to 24 who need extra support moving into employment or education.

The program can help you develop practical workplace skills, connect with education or training, find local employment opportunities and access relevant community services. It can also support pathways into apprenticeships and other forms of training.

TURSA delivers Transition to Work with a focus on helping you move towards a job that can work for you long term.

Rather than handing you a list of vacancies and sending you on your way, your Youth Adviser works with you to identify your goals, build a plan and keep moving towards them.

Transition to Work is designed for young people aged 15 to 24.

Eligibility also depends on your individual circumstances, including factors such as your residency or visa status, education, recent employment, income support and whether you are already participating in another employment service.

That can sound like a lot to work out yourself.

If you are unsure whether you qualify, contact TURSA today. Our Beenleigh team can discuss your circumstances and help you understand whether Transition to Work is the right service for you.
